Downtown Oakville Tree Lighting Ceremony

Celebrate the lights, the magic,
and the charm of downtown Oakville this Christmas as the businesses
kick-off the holiday season with the lighting of the Towne Square Tree.
Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves will treat all to hot apple cider and
holiday cheer. The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. in Towne Square with a
Christmas Carol sing-along
with Oakville's Mayor and the Salvation Army Band, followed by the
lighting of the tree at 7:30 p.m.

Fabulous February

Fall in Love in
Downtown Oakville is the theme of Downtown Oakville’s third
annual Fabulous February that is sure to be full of events, activities,
and romance for everyone. Saturday, February 9th, 2008 is
the official kick off day when Downtown Oakville will get ready for the
legendary Saint Valentine. The galleries have teamed up to
celebrate art, chocolate, wine, and Valentine’s Day.
Following Valentine’s
Day the restaurants will kick off “A Taste of Downtown Oakville”
– Downtown Oakville's Winter Culinary Event. From February 15th
to 29th, 2008, over 15 first-rate restaurants will be
offering pre-fixe signature lunch and dinner options. Prix-Fixe lunch
menus will be offered from $10.00 and dinner menus from $35.00 per
person. This is a great opportunity to sample some of Oakville’s
renowned gourmet cuisine. PARTICIPATING

Many retailers will also
be offering sales throughout the month. This is Downtown Oakville’s
major winter shopping event so don’t miss these great deals.

Fashion Week

The Downtown Oakville BIA, along with the businesses
of downtown Oakville, is thrilled to announce the first annual Downtown
Oakville Fashion Week. Throughout the week, the downtown Oakville
fashion and beauty retailers will be coming together to offer a series
of in-store events and promotions during the week of April 10th to April
17th, 2008. To kick-off the event, the Downtown Oakville BIA will be
hosting the first ever Downtown Oakville Fashion Show at the Oakville
Club on Thursday, April 10th, 2008 from 7pm – 9pm. This is a great
opportunity to get the latest looks for the spring and summer seasons.
