How and why did you decide to pursue your business?
Rishi's career as an employment and labour lawyer started in 2003 at Canada's largest management-side labour employment law firm. Rishi continued to build his expertise with 2 first-rate boutiques until late 2013 when he established BLPC. In 2018, Rishi returned to the University of Toronto as an instructor for the School of Continuing Education for its Industrial and Labour Relations Course.
What are you most passionate about in your business?
We are passionate about Client Service! At BLPC, we believe there is no purpose that is more honourable than serving others. We pride ourselves on doing just that, whether we are assisting a business manage a distracting lawsuit or helping a vulnerable employee restore their dignity and self-esteem.
What do you LOVE about Downtown Oakville?
The small town feel, great restaurants and stores, strong sense of community and support among the local businesses.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise others.
In his spare time, you'll find Rishi on the baseball diamond coaching baseball, spending time with his wife and two children and training for his next triathlon. He is a past Director for the Oakville Minor Baseball Association and the Past President of the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto.
