Be in the know! Keeping the BIA and Membership Community Connected

Staying connected with our business community is so important to our BIA team! Below are some of the ways we help you stay up-to-date with news and upcoming opportunities. We always love to hear from our members, so please let us know if you have any thoughts or suggestions on how we can improve and help keep you informed!

1. Weekly Newsletter Email

Every Friday, watch for your weekly member newsletter email from "DowntownBIA Info" to keep updated with the latest news, including regional and Town updates and new business announcements.

2. Member Portal/Mobile App: Your one-stop-shop for all-things-membership

If you are a member of our App, you already know the benefits of joining. Stay up-to-date while on-the-go from your mobile device, engage directly with other members or share an idea on our member forum. You can also reference member resources, marketing opportunities, newsletters, submit a job posting and much more! If you are less of a mobile user but want to stay updated, you can visit our desktop version by using the password Lakeshore to gain access.

Two ways to access your Member portal:

  • Download the app (use invite code: LXKDWX)

  • Member Services area on our website (use the password Lakeshore)

3. Blog Posts

Members receive an automated email notification each time a new blog is posted to the member portal. The blogs are a great way to stay up-to-date with news as it happens and have access to weekly historical information. Public blogs are also posted here for your reference. To continue receiving notifications, members need to engage with this content, and if you don't interact with the content after seven days, you will be automatically unsubscribed from notifications.

4. Member Participation Requests

You will receive periodic participation requests; these may be for an upcoming quarterly marketing call or a call to action for upcoming marketing and promotional opportunities. If you miss a request, you can always stay updated by visiting our Member Marketing page (on the member portal) which is dedicated to these opportunities. Don't forget to use the password Lakeshore to access.

5. Direct

We love to reach out directly! If there is an opportunity we think your business might be a fit for, if you're a new member or we simply want to check in to see how you are doing, we'll reach out via phone, email or in-person! You'll often find our Membership Manager, Kim, and our Ambassador, Stephanie checking in and handing out promotional materials.

If you have any questions or concerns about how we contact you, please reach out! As much as we communicate, we simply love hearing feedback and ideas directly from members.
