Anticipating a surge of evening visitors, we are encouraging businesses to remain open late. Consider hosting a 'sip and shop' or curating a unique event to entice and welcome customers to your storefront. Best Holiday Window Competition
We are thrilled to announce the Best Holiday Window competition, designed exclusively for businesses with a street-front presence. Dive deep into the festive spirit and showcase your creativity! To be part of this competition, please confirm your participation and ensure that your window is fully adorned by end of day on November 10. We we will provide a scannable window decal that will invite the public to vote for their favourite display. What's at stake? A grand prize of a Marketing Campaign (valued at $2500) for 2024 awaits the winner! This includes an exclusive feature by a BIA chosen Instagram Influencer, a spotlight in our Community Newsletter, a dedicated blog post on our website, and a comprehensive paid social media campaign to amplify the Influencer's content. Favourite Things Influencer Campaign
We we will once again collaborate with a pre-select group of influencers to showcase their 'Favourite Things' from Downtown Oakville. Those influencers chosen for this initiative will be provided with a list of 'opted in' businesses, allowing them to handpick the shops and services that best resonate with their audience. These collaborations will culminate in reels that will be featured on both the influencer's and Downtown Oakville's Instagram accounts. Holiday Blog Series & Digital Campaign
We're excited to launch our holiday blog series, running from November 1st to December 23rd, and we're inviting you to contribute! This is a golden opportunity to showcase your products, services, or ideas to a vibrant and engaged audience. Our blogs will be supported with a full digital media campaign. Posts will cater to a myriad of festive niches, we'll feature Foodies, The Homebody, The Eco-Conscious, Gifts for Her, Gifts for Him, Kids & Teens, Stocking Stuffers, Luxury Gifts, Warm and Cozy, Gifts Under $50, and Holiday Decor and Table Setting Ideas.
