Head into the first weekend of June with a little bit of sugar and spice (and everything nice!) at these five Downtown Oakville spots:
Sweetbites – 115 Trafalgar Road These cupcakes are (almost) too cute to eat! From traditional red velvet and vanilla to unique flavours like s’mores and cotton candy, Sweetbites’ freshly baked creations will satisfy even the most discerning cupcake aficionado’s palate.
Burrows Outlet – 287 Lakeshore Road East Good news for dapper gents looking for a deal on high-quality suits – one of Downtown Oakville’s most established men’s stores has opened an outlet at 287 Lakeshore. Visit Burrows’ new pop up shop and score incredible deals on suits from high-end designers like Hugo Boss, Armani, Sand, Etro, Brunello Cucinelli and Canali.
Tocca Finita – 315 Lakeshore Road East In case you didn’t get the memo, Tocca Finita’s gorgeous outdoor display is proof positive that spring has finally arrived in Downtown Oakville. And the colour doesn’t stop at the door! Come inside and discover bright, summery accessories and outfits from their new summer collection.
The Yellow Chilli – 111 Trafalgar Road Some like it hot and this new Indian restaurant from renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor certainly delivers. We sampled the pekoras, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala with a side of rice and garlic naan. Dine in and enjoy this restaurant’s warm ambience, or order take out and take advantage of their incredible Family Combo, which includes 3 curries, 3 orders of naan, rice, and dessert for just $38!
Murron’s Cabinetree – 215 Lakeshore Road East If you’re looking to decorate your summer cottage – or to bring the summer cottage to you – look no further than Murron’s Cabinetree. An Oakville fixture since 1992, Murron’s is known for its reclaimed wood pieces, barware, home accessories and quirky artwork, not to mention its 6-foot bear mascot, which was famously kidnapped a few years ago.
