LUXFINDZ | Welcome to the Neighbourhood

It's time to channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw, cause there's a new fashion boutique in Downtown Oakville! Introducing LUXFINDZ, the destination for women in search of style, comfort and affordable luxury. They are located at 150 Lakeshore Road East - be sure to check them out during your next stroll through the Downtown streetscape. Noriko and team are super excited to meet you!

We offer women of all ages, sophisticated, affordable, comfortable fashion from around the world that can be mixed and matched with their designer items. Limited in sizes and stock, when the items are gone, they are gone. We do carry some staple pieces due to high demand. We want women to try different pieces on as most will be surprised that it looks great on them. When I’m at an event, I feel like a fashion concierge, I make women try stuff on that they say “won’t look good on me” and they come out and say “wow, I love it. I would never have picked this out for myself” and they come back and say “I wear that all the time” and it makes me feel great and inspired. That’s what inspires me to keep doing what I’m doing, even if it’s one person at a time.

How and why did you decide to pursue your business?

For 20+ years I was working in the Corporate World for software companies. Although, I loved the networking, partnerships, business ventures and opportunities I created, I really wasn’t passionate about software. I have always had a love of fashion but being a single mother, working full time, traveling around the world on business, I just didn’t have the time to go to the mall and sift through racks and racks of clothing, going store to store looking for the right work wear, casual wear, formal wear. I wished there was a website I could just purchase everything from. Who has time to look for things that appeal to them when they are playing taxi driver for soccer, piano, ballet, making lunches, snacks and dinner, looking at agenda books etc… I sure didn’t and I knew a lot of my friends who had children and worked full time didn’t either. I knew there was a need, not just for a clothing website, but I wanted to offer women clothing that would make them feel good.

What are you most passionate about in your business?

I started thinking about women a lot, not just around fashion but healthy living and work life balance. I wanted clothes that looked edgy, sophisticated and sexy, but wanted women of different sizes to feel confident and beautiful. The material and wash were important to me. I knew I loved the fashion in Europe the best because it was different, edgy, had different textures and was cut better than the fashions in North America although I have started working with a number of Toronto and Montreal based companies. I started purchasing from Europe and people just loved everything. I had a pop-up shop in Toronto and the problem women were having was they wanted to buy everything but needed to narrow things down from 30 items to 3 or 4. That was exciting to me. I knew I was on to something.

What do you LOVE about Downtown Oakville?

We love downtown Oakville because of the close knit community. We've found that everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming and lovely to work with. It also brings a lot of people from the GTA to shop, dine and walk along the lake on the weekends, which adds to the vibrant, energetic feel to the neighbourhood. We already have clients from the Toronto, Lorne Park, Oakville and St. Catharines area, so we feel this is the perfect location for us.

Tell us something about yourself that might surprise others.

I think one thing that may surprise people is that I'm a nerd at heart. I was always studious as a child and really had to learn to be more outgoing. I love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, Mandolorian, anything Science Fiction or Fantasy. I will be in my Yoda sweatshirt and ripped jeans on the weekend.
