HOLIDAY MAGIC IN 'BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN OAKVILLE'

There are so many wonderful reasons to come to ‘beautiful Downtown Oakville’ all year round, but even more so around the Holiday season. From having the wonderful smells of gourmet food and baked goods fill the air, to Santa visiting on Horse carriage rides along with all the beautiful Christmas lights surrounding the authentic shops and restaurants. It almost seems ‘warmer’ around this time of the year. Shopping can be so much more of an enjoyable experience when the merchants come together to give you ‘the shopper’ a more wonderful reason to support your Downtown Oakville local businesses.

That’s why during this Holiday season, the local businesses of Downtown Oakville wanted to do something really special for the local and abroad community that truly enjoys walking through the Downtown Oakville area to shop, dine and experience this authentic environment. Being known for personable and impeccable customer service, the local Downtown merchants along with the Downtown Oakville Business Improvement Area (BIA) and Mercedes-Benz Oakville implemented the 1st Annual ’12 Days of Christmas Contest in Downtown Oakville’. Each participating business were very generous in giving a donation to 1 of 12 ‘Grand Gifts’ which coincided to the lyrics of the traditional 12 Days of Christmas song (i.e. 5 Golden Rings – consisted of the local jewellery stores). We were able to raise over $20000.00 worth of products and services that each of the 122 businesses personally provided which also included a $2000.00 shopping spree on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Oakville.

Customers were able to fill out a ballot in-person at any of the participating shops for their chance to win 1 of the 12 ‘Grand Gift Bags’. A big “Congratulations” goes out to the all of the 12 winners who won these beautiful gifts and we wish them well through the New Year!
