Parking Map | Available Spots Paid Parking On-street and paid parking areas may be found throughout Downtown Oakville. Hours of operation and the maximum length of allowed parking time vary with the location of each parking lot or space. Each location has an hourly rate posted. Please check the meter/machine where you park for the rates and times available at that parking location. Hours of operation: Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is free Sunday, on holidays and after 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday Parking meters and pay and display machines will be found on-street Parking lots have pay-by-plate machines which require the entry of your license plate during the payment process Pay with your phone With the free Honk Mobile app, you can easily search, pay for and top up parking from a phone, tablet, or computer. This payment option is easy and quick to use so you can get to where you want to go. Parking at EV charging stations Electric vehicles can park at the EV charging station parking spaces, while they are charging. There is currently no specified time limit, but the electric vehicle must be charging when it is parked at the EV charging station parking spaces. Standard combustion vehicles and electric vehicles that are not plugged in can be ticketed with a penalty of $125 for parking at the EV charging station parking spaces. Fees $1.50 per hour for up to three hours $5 per hour after three hours Parking fees also apply when parking in the commercial districts, Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public charging fees are set to allow electric vehicle customers to top up their charge. The higher fees after three (3) hours of charging help to promote turnover and availability for other electric vehicles to charge. Payment Use the ChargePoint app to pay for charging. There is no need to go to that parking meter as any applicable parking fees are integrated into the charging station payment.
